  October 2018 is the Healthiest State Month
Healthy Choices Count Campaign
                                                                        "5-2-1-0"
****5 or more fruits or vegetables per day (our lunch program this year is packed with fresh fruits/veggies)
****2 hours or less of recreational screen time per day (take time away from phones, tablets, laptops, TV, video games)
****1 hour or more of physical activity per day (getting your heart rate up)
****0 sugary drinks-drink MORE water (avoid soda, juices, flavored milk, fruit drinks, sports drinks)

We are going to participate in a little challenge between K-5th by keeping track at home on a chart of all of these specific activities for 2 weeks.  After they are finished they will return to the nurse for a prize.  Feel free to join in as a family!!  Keeping each other accountable and on the road to healthy living.

-Taste testing
-Wellness Week with activities daily.  Every Kid Healthy Week-planning for next year.
