Eat the Rainbow campaign March 17th-23rd, 2019
This is a fun way at home to focus on eating different fresh fruits and vegetables.  The K-5th students are filling out charts on the colors of the rainbow eaten every day for 1 week and will turn it back in for a prize.  It's great for the whole family!!!  
After Eat the Rainbow was complete the following students got some pretty cool prizes for participating:

A healthy breakfast at the start of the day is one way to ensure students are getting the best education they can!!!!

Winter Dance Off 2018




The annual winter dance off took place on 12/19/18 and it was a TON of fun to watch our elementary students show their moves!!!  Not only are they put a lot of work into their songs/dance....they keep moving and giving their brains a break!!  Here are a few pictures.  We had a tie between Mrs. Stream's 5th grade class and Mrs. Lucas 3rd class.

                                                                        "5-2-1-0"
****5 or more fruits or vegetables per day (our lunch program this year is packed with fresh fruits/veggies)
****2 hours or less of recreational screen time per day (take time away from phones, tablets, laptops, TV, video games)
****1 hour or more of physical activity per day (getting your heart rate up)
****0 sugary drinks-drink MORE water (avoid soda, juices, flavored milk, fruit drinks, sports drinks)

We are going to participate in a little challenge between K-5th by keeping track at home on a chart of all of these specific activities for 2 weeks.  After they are finished they will return to the nurse for a prize.  Feel free to join in as a family!!  Keeping each other accountable and on the road to healthy living.  




Thank you to the kids that participated in the "5-2-1-0" Challenge!!  They did an awesome job keeping track of their fruits/veggies, screen time, no sugary drinks and activity!!  So proud of you all!!  For turning in their tracker sheets they got pencils and cinch bags!!  Keep up the healthy lifestyle!
