Students at Bedford Elementary learn the importance of exercise and that exercise can be fun!
Congratulations to Mrs. Lucas and her third grade class for winning the dance off!!  The scores were all very close! Mrs. Poppa's 3rd grade came in second and 1st grade came in third.  It was a very fun event and all of the kids did a great job!
Our dance off was incorporated into our Go the Distance Day as a wrap up of our Live Healthy Iowa Kids program.  During Live Healthy Iowa Kids our elementary teachers used dancing as a brain booster activity.  They would take time during the day to practice their song for the dance off competition. This added some extra exercise to their day and helped get their blood pumping for the learning to follow!
Below are some pictures of the fun from Facebook.   We have some good groovers at Bedford Elementary!

Thanks to the Go the Distance Day Grant the winners will receive a lunch from Subway to celebrate their hard work!
